Hello Fort Worth EGA!
I hope that you are staying cool and getting lots of stitching done now that Texas has decided to shorten spring and head straight to summer weather.
Thanks to everyone who had a chance to support the Stitch Niche one last time. I know we are looking forward to seeing more of Kim now that she can actually attend our events and stitch with us!
I will also send out information about the opening of Wild Cactus Needlework and Framing as soon as it is available.
The State Fair of Texas is not that far away. Sue Green will share some information about volunteer opportunities at our June meeting and I will send out the information as well. Additionally, I am attaching the Creative Arts Manual here for anyone interested in entering the State Fair. You all do such beautiful work. I love seeing so much of our stitching friends work displayed. The deadline to register is July 28.
We have three big events on the horizon that we need to plan. There are our chapter retreat, our 50th Anniversary, and a Shop Hop. We will discuss these events at our next meeting in a fun way, so please attend if at all possible.
Sherri Hagar will also be leading our program this week. we will create a Buttons and Boots fob. Bring a beading mat if you have one for this activity.
Finally, our huge event for the year is on the horizon- The Stitching Stampede SCR Region Seminar June 12-14. Thanks to Debra Bessent and her team for their leadership. Iknow this is going to be a fantastic event.
Sending you all joy and happiness and stitch love,
